About

I have been practicing yoga since 2003 after my first daughter was born. I found yoga as a gentle way to get in shape after pregnancy. While I continued to practice, I discovered that yoga was much more than a way to get in shape. Once my second daughter was born, yoga was a way for me to relax, connect with my Self and find my center. Yoga continues to help me stay grounded and is a wonderful compliment to my love of running and hiking.

In 2015 – 2016, my family and I spent 9 months traveling around the country in a truck camper (more on that here), while I wasn’t able to pop into a yoga class in every town we visited, I did get to visit a good handful of studios to keep my practice up and developed my own yoga routine that I could do in the confines of our camper. When we returned home from our trip, I knew that my next journey was to follow my love of yoga and dive into yoga teacher training. I received my 200 hour RYT through Synergy Yoga School with a focus on Vinyasa flow yoga, yoga philosophy and Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga. This training has prepared me to follow my path to teaching gentle and energetic Vinyasa classes around the Seattle area.
